When do Disney World dining reservations open?

Disney says most advance dining reservations can be made up to 60 days ahead. Guests with a valid Disney Resort hotel reservation can book for their entire stay, up to a 10-night stay, when the 60-day window opens. Other guests generally book one day at a time as each date reaches 60 days.

What time should you actually be ready?

Disney says new reservation windows become available at approximately 6:00 AM Eastern for select restaurants. If a meal is a trip priority, be logged in before then with your party linked and payment information ready. Do not spend the first minutes deciding where you want to eat.

Book the hardest reservation first, not chronologically

If you are staying on-site, the biggest advantage is access to later dates in your stay when your 60-day window opens. Put the hardest-to-get meal on a later trip day if you can. That gives you access before guests whose booking window has not yet reached that date.

Do not overbook table-service meals

A table-service reservation creates a fixed point in a day that is otherwise full of changing wait times, weather and energy levels. One important reservation per park day is usually easier to manage than breakfast, lunch and dinner reservations. Protect flexibility for attractions and breaks.

The cancellation rule matters

Disney says most restaurants charge $10 per person if you cancel within two hours of the reservation time or fail to show. Some prepaid, fireworks and signature experiences have different or stricter rules. Always read the cancellation terms shown for the specific reservation.

If your first choice is gone, keep checking

Cancelled reservations immediately return to inventory, so availability can reappear. Check again as the date approaches, especially in the final few days when other guests are adjusting plans to avoid cancellation fees. Search individual meal times rather than assuming a fully booked day is permanently closed.

Park admission and dining reservations are separate

A dining reservation inside a theme park does not guarantee admission to that park. You still need valid admission and, depending on ticket type, a park reservation may also be required. Do not book an in-park meal on a day you cannot actually enter that park.

Use Mobile Order for the meals that do not deserve a reservation

For quick-service meals, use My Disney Experience mobile ordering instead of creating another fixed appointment. Choose an arrival window before you are hungry, then tap 'I'm Here, Prepare My Order' when you reach the restaurant. This is one of the easiest ways to preserve flexibility.
