The current Chase offers
As checked November 8, 2026, Chase publicly lists 100,000 bonus points for Sapphire Reserve after $6,000 in purchases in the first 3 months from account opening, and 75,000 bonus points for Sapphire Preferred after $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months. Offers can vary by application channel and can change, so use the live application terms as the final authority.
Can Chase points pay for a Disney World trip?
They can help with major trip costs. Chase says Ultimate Rewards points can be used through Chase Travel for flights, hotels, rental cars, cruises, tours and activities, or transferred to participating airline and hotel loyalty programs. Disney is not listed as a Chase transfer partner, so think of the points as a way to reduce the broader vacation bill rather than assuming they directly convert into Disney park tickets.
Where the points may be most useful
Start with the expensive travel pieces you were already going to buy: airfare, hotel nights, airport transportation or a rental car. Search the same itinerary with cash and points before redeeming. A redemption is only useful when it meaningfully lowers the trip cost without forcing you into a worse flight, hotel or schedule.
Reserve versus Preferred for a Disney trip
Sapphire Preferred currently carries a $95 annual fee and the 75,000-point public welcome offer. Sapphire Reserve currently carries a $795 annual fee and the 100,000-point public welcome offer, along with a broader set of premium travel benefits. The larger bonus does not automatically make the higher-fee card the better choice; compare the benefits you will actually use against the annual cost.
Do not manufacture spending for a welcome bonus
A points bonus is not a savings strategy if meeting the spending requirement causes you to buy things you would not otherwise purchase or carry an interest-bearing balance. The cleanest approach is to use planned expenses you can pay in full and to treat the points as a reduction in future travel cost, not as permission to spend more.
Compare Chase Travel with transfer partners
Chase allows eligible Sapphire cardmembers to transfer points to participating airline and hotel programs, and Chase Travel also supports booking with points, the card, or a combination of both. Compare both paths before transferring because transfers are generally final and availability can differ.
Also compare Hilton Honors American Express offers
The current referral offer shown in my American Express account says an eligible friend could earn 70,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points plus a Free Night Reward, with that Free Night Reward offer shown through January 13, 2027. I can earn 20,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points for each eligible referral, up to five times per calendar year. Because card offers and terms can change, use the live American Express referral page as the final source before applying.
