Measure before the trip, then verify at Disney
Measure children at home without shoes that artificially add height. Use that measurement to build the plan, but expect Disney Cast Members to make the final determination at the attraction. A child who is close to a threshold should not have the entire day built around barely qualifying.
Use height requirements to choose your first attractions
If only part of the group qualifies for a high-demand ride, decide before arrival whether that attraction is worth splitting the group. Sometimes it is better to start with an any-height attraction everyone values rather than creating a long first-hour separation.
Rider Switch can keep the group moving
Disney offers Rider Switch at select attractions when someone in the party cannot or does not want to ride. One part of the group rides while another waits with the non-rider, then eligible adults can switch without everyone repeating the full standby wait. Ask a Cast Member at the attraction because procedures can vary.
Recheck before travel
Ride lineups, refurbishments and height requirements can change. Park Day Lab uses current Disney attraction listings, but always verify the official attraction page before travel if a specific ride is critical to the trip.
